About this product

FS-I6X is a 10-channel 2.4G transmitter built on the AFHDS 2A protocol and bundled here with an IA6B or IA10B receiver. AFHDS 2A is FlySky's own system, so third-party receivers from the ELRS, Crossfire or FrSky ecosystems will not bind. That makes it a low-cost entry radio for fixed-wing, car and boat builds rather than a long-range FPV pick.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Ten channels and a bundled receiver for less than most bare transmitters
  • AFHDS 2A has been stable for years and receivers are cheap and easy to find
  • Simple menu structure suits a first fixed-wing or car build

Cons

  • Closed protocol: your next FPV build with ELRS will need a different radio
  • Telemetry and firmware options are far behind EdgeTX-based radios
  • The page does not state whether the 10-channel mode needs a menu change
