About this product
This Acasis enclosure takes an M.2 NVMe SSD and connects over Thunderbolt, with the listing covering Thunderbolt 5, 4 and 3 compatibility. The speed you get is the minimum of three things: the enclosure, the drive's PCIe generation and the host port, so a Thunderbolt 5 enclosure on a Thunderbolt 3 laptop still runs at the laptop's ceiling. Before ordering, check the port symbols on your computer and the PCIe generation of the drive you plan to install. Suits creators moving large video files and Mac owners who need external fast storage; confirm cable and adapter inclusions with the seller.
